Best Friend: Someone to share clothes with, share secrets with, talk about boys, someone to be there for you when times are tough, someone to laugh with, someone to cry with, and someone to love. This blog was started because a Brunette and a Blonde became best friends and discovered that about the only difference the two had, was their hair color.
Danielle (blonde) Bethany (brunette) met in high school right after Bethany moved to Utah from California. Needless to say they were joined at the hip from then on. Fashion has always been something to bond them, and they created this blog to share some tips and tricks that work for them.

We were nervous to start this blog, but we have always been told “you will never know unless you try.” So one day while we were shopping, we decided that even though some people may not have the same taste as us it would still be a lot of fun to try doing a fashion blog.

We both love the word “darling.” We probably use it too much when describing our family, a cute shirt, or when we compliment someone. We tossed around a few ideas, then the name came to us, “Kiss Me Darling!” It was perfect! We knew that was the name, right then and there. 🙂

BETHANY family

Well, here is a little about myself. I grew up in Southern California until I was almost 17, and then moved to Utah. It was definitely a huge culture shock. I had never lived in place that actually had clicks within clicks! I met Danielle my junior year, and it was us against the world. 🙂 In October 2008, I met the love of my life and now husband, Skyler. We were married in October 2009, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He is my rock, and my everything. He has such a fun and crazy personality and constantly makes me laugh. He always pushes me to be better, and taught me to “never be afraid of failing, be afraid of not trying.” It is because of him that I am the confident, outgoing, and sometimes annoyingly outspoken girl I am today. You will never know your potential, unless you put yourself out there and try.
Together we have two adorable little boys; Cayman & Beckham. They were both born 13 weeks early at just 27 weeks pregnant, and are a constant reminder to us that miracles do happen. You can read about their story on my family blog.  I love being a mom to these two little miracles, they are my entire world. A big part of who I am, is also what I believe in. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Aka, I am mormon. 🙂 Our Faith is what has gotten my family through all of our trials. I strongly believe that it is also the reason my two boys are still here.  I recently got my dream job as the Deal Coordinator for Very Jane, and the best part is that I get to stay home with my kids. I love the color yellow, anything that sparkles, sunshine, and jamming out to music in the car with Danielle. 😉 I have a slight obsession with jewelry, okay probably MAJOR obsession with jewelry. My kids are a reminder to me that life is a gift, and that we should live every day to the fullest. Sometimes we need to stop being so serious, and just LAUGH about it! I like to express myself through fashion, and believe that your style says a lot about you. The older I get, the more I have come to feel confident in expressing my own style. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but its me and I like that. I am so grateful for my family and friends who have stuck by me and always influenced me for the better. Its is because of you that I am where I am today. Dreams do come true! 🙂

I am Danielle, the blonde girl that sometimes doesn’t always get your joke right away 😉 I come from a loud Italian family that has a way of always speaking their mind, sometimes a little too much 😉  I love the craziness that comes from them and I wouldn’t change a thing about any of them. They have made me what I am today. I am a student at the University of Utah with only a few classes left to get my degree in Business Marketing, woot woot! I have always expressed myself with fashion. No matter what anyone thought I always did what I wanted to with my hair, clothes, makeup, ect. And sometimes it wasn’t always a good thing. Trust me I have plenty of pictures that I just have to shake my head at the floor and say “what..was I thinking??”. So here I am staring a fashion blog with the one person that I have found to have the same tastes that I do. From the time that we met we have been doing everything the same, and trust me it was not on purpose. So instead of hating each other for wanting to copy everything that the other did we decided to just become best friends instead.

So as you can see, I am a Mom of two little monkeys. They are the joy and light of my life! My little Jaxon just turned two in March and Ella Marie just turned one in April. If you do the math they are only 11 months apart making me one busy mama! The handsome hunk standing next to me is my loving husband. Richie Asay and I were married two years ago on January 29th 2011.
There has been a lot that has happened in the two short years that we have been married. Jaxon was a big surprise when he decided to be born when I was only 23 weeks pregnant (about 4 months early). Any mother that has had a baby in the NICU can understand what a rollercoster it can be.  Watching Jaxon cling to life surgery after surgery and seeing his will to live really changed my life. I realized that life is a gift….and it can be over in a second. You never know when your life is going to change dramatically either. My husband and I went from being this happy newley wed couple to parents of a micro preemie. Rushing back and forth to the hospital twice a day to be with our little miracle. Once we finally got to bring Jaxon home and things seemed to be settling down a little, we received the best surprise. I was pregnant. Ella Marie was born as a full term healthy baby. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I wouldn’t trade my life trials with anyone.  I’ve heard that if we all threw our trials in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d quickly grab ours back. I realized this was true after talking to a few moms at Primary Childrens. I have learned to keep my head up and move forward through the storms of my life and take in every moment that I can of the good times. I’ve learned that life shouldn’t always be so serious. We are here to have fun and make fun of ourselves every once in a while. I am so grateful for my husband that has held me in his arms through all the ups and downs. I am grateful to all the people in my life that have inspired me to keep going and to keep being positive. Life is too short to dwell on the all the things going wrong with it, so I choose happiness and all the fun things that come along with it. I try to take advantage of every opportunity that I come by. I am so excited to be doing this blog with my very best friend and I hope it is something that is fun and inspiring for anyone that reads it 🙂
